Olympic designs revealed The designs for London's Olympic Village have been revealed.

The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and Lend Lease have unveiled the designs after recently receiving planning permission for the first three residential plots.

"These new images show the good progress being made in design and construction work on the Olympic Village to help maintain the momentum of this huge project," said ODA chief executive David Higgins.

More than 300 workers are now on site preparing the village's foundations.

The images released today revealed the development's residential schemes, courtyard areas, pedestrian walkways and new open spaces.

Mr Higgins said the Olympic Village "will be one of the strongest legacies from the Games".

The village would, he said create "quality new homes for Londoners, many of which will be affordable".

Funding for the Olympics is currently under review as falling commercial property prices and worsening economic conditions have affected values.
