About the City

Reading is a vibrant town situated in Berkshire. It offers a perfect mix of heritage, beautiful nature, shopping and commerce. It is situated onteh main motorway out of central London to Bristol. 

Economy and Employment

With 50% of its population educated to a degree level or equivalent, Reading has the second most productive economy in the UK. The town has produced world-leading research in climate change, health, business and archaeology. The region is top for technology employment and boasts the highest density of technology businesses in the UK. Reading has also prospered into a regional hub for financial and business services.

Transport

The town is easily to commute by foot, as both of the major shopping centres and the main historic attractions are in walking distance from the train station. Reading has a local bus service serving the town and several local villages. Reading railway station is one of the busiest interchanges on the national rail network with services across the country to destinations such as Manchester and Portsmouth. A train to London Paddington takes 25 minutes.
