Business Rates Revaluation 2026

With the 2026 Business Rates Revaluation taking effect from April, occupiers are set to face sharp increases in costs. Double-digit rises across major UK cities, combined with a new five-tier multiplier system and rental values fixed at the 2024 market peak, mean many businesses will see inflated bills and added pressure on their bottom line.

On 1 April 2026, the government’s new Business Rates Revaluation will take effect, and for many businesses the impact will be severe.

  • Double-digit increases are expected across London and other major UK cities.
  • The new five-tier multiplier system means larger occupiers could be penalised even further.
  • Rental values used for the revaluation were set in 2024, at the peak of the rebound, so many occupiers will face inflated bills.

The result? A direct hit to your bottom line.

At Devono, we work exclusively for occupiers. We help businesses review, forecast, and challenge business rates exposure, all while aligning their workplace strategy to keep long-term costs under control.

The businesses that act now will stay in control. Those who wait until April 2026 will be left to pay the price.
