Devonshire Square was built up by the East India Company from 1768, warehouses for the fabric, tobacco and spices coming off ships in the Thames. The St Katharine's Dock Company bought them in the 1830s, the Port of London Authority followed in 1909, and tea was stored here into the 1950s. Richard Seifert and Partners turned the estate into offices in 1978. WeWork holds part of it now, brick left exposed, with a cafe, event space, phone booths and beer on tap. Dogs are welcome. Liverpool Street is four minutes. Desks start at £600 a month.
